Since 1997, Dr. William Gaya has been providing neurological care to Ocala and Marion County residents.
Dr. Gaya is a graduate from the University of Puerto Rico and completed his residency in neurology in 1996 at the VA Medical Center. Then, Dr. Gaya continued his training in the area of neuromuscular disorders at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.
He is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology with special qualifications in vascular neurology (2008-current) and clinical neurophysiology (1999-2009). He was a Fellow Member of the American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine from 1998-2008. He is currently an active member of the American Academy of Neurology and the Florida Society of Neurology.
His practice is characterized by his commitment to provide the most current care with a compassionate approach to neurological disorders. The extensive field of neurology covers conditions like epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's and Alzheimer's disease, stroke, migraines and neuropathy among others.
